Amber Benson hails from the United States and is a performer, actor, writer/singer/director. Her most well-known part is that of Tara Maclay, in the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Additionally, she has directed, produced and starred for her own films Chance and Lovers Liars & Lunatics. Benson also appeared in the movie Kiss the Bride. Benson is the daughter, born on the 8th of January 1977, of Edward Benson and Diane Benson. Her younger sister is Danielle Benson, who works as an artist. His father was Jewish as is her mom. She was born and raised in the state of Alabama. Southern Baptist Benson grew up in an Reform synagogue in Alabama. Benson's acting career continues to grow after the conclusion of Buffy. Benson was a part of movies like The Killing Jar, and shows like Morganville The Series. In front of the camera, she used her creative writing abilities to create the Ghosts of Albion and direct projects, like the The 2010's Drones. Buffy states that, after taking the time to count and find the Slayers, she discovered more than 1800 Slayers all over the world from which 500 belong to the Scooby Gang.
